The team at Silver Lining Transitions fully met my needs. I’m 73 and my wife is 66. We have moved ourselves multiple times throughout our 48 years of marriage.  We decided to get help for our move from Oceanside to Carlsbad.

Dawn was very helpful and gave us a reasonable quote. We expected full service from packing our belongings then moving them to a new location, and then unboxing as well as get our home ready to live in comfortably.

We had a few issues during our move.  We had more personal belongings than anticipated, resulting in packing over 200 boxes.  It also rained in the afternoon and evening between move in day and the next day of unpacking.  The rain issue added time to the process resulting in boxes being moved around several times. This also caused some chaos and we felt overwhelmed by the number of boxes that were not unpacked and their poor organization inside the house. There were boxes everywhere, with many not delivered to the room location clearly marked on each box. We were extremely frustrated with the number of boxes that were not unpacked.

I talked with Dawn and also with Nate who was in charge of the movers. They both heard my concerns and responded appropriately. The very next day four people showed up at our new house to help organize and unpack. They spent two hours at no charge to me to correct the situation.

When I had to move from my retirement home into the granny flat at my daughter‘s home, I was not looking forward to all the work that it would involve. I'd highlight my super stars, Amanda who coordinated my Mom's move and home review and Jenny who has helped me muddle through some 15,000 photos including dozens and dozens of framed, taped, pinned and matted images. They came up with a fabulous creative eay to bring my moms past and present to life in her new home and I'll be forever grateful. Silver Linings is a wonderful resource. After the movers left, the daunting task of tackling stacks of boxes, unpacking and organizing everything was discouraging. The challenge just sat there.
Then I discovered Silver Linings.
They were professional, patient, understanding and went the extra mile in their work. They helped better place furniture, organized all closets, hung the pictures, got rid of what was unwanted, assembled shelving in the garage, put together some purchased furniture.
