A Heart for Helping, A Gift for Guiding Through Change
For Founder Jami Shapiro, Silver Linings Transitions was born out of a deeply personal moment—a cancer diagnosis caused Jami to examine her life and the “silver lining” was her desire to do something more meaningful. When her grandmother died and the family was faced with daunting task of going through her belongings and selling her home, she knew there had to be a better way. That experience and a stressful relocation she faced personally became the spark that would inspire Jami to build a business rooted in empathy, organization, and a fierce commitment to supporting others during life’s biggest transitions.
With a background in real estate and a passion for serving others, Jami quickly recognized that people facing major changes—especially older adults and their families—needed more than just movers or checklists. They needed kindness. They needed clarity. And they needed someone to walk alongside them, not just get the job done.
So, she became a Certified Senior Advisor, and built a team to help her accomplish her mission. Jami is an ADHD Coach and Organizing Specialist, Certified Senior Move Manager and is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors for NASMM.
From the very beginning, Silver Linings Transitions has been guided by Jami’s belief that every move is more than just a change of address—it’s a life moment. Her approach blends practical expertise with heartfelt support, turning overwhelming tasks into manageable steps and offering reassurance every step of the way.
Jami’s work has now touched hundreds of families and individuals, helping them move forward with ease and often a bit of laughter along the way. Whether she’s speaking at a community event, training new team members, educating others on ADHD in seniors, or personally checking in with a client, she brings the same passion to every interaction: a deep desire to help people find peace, purpose, and yes—a silver lining—in whatever change they’re facing.
