Jami Shapiro, the founder of Silver Linings Transitions has spoken nationally and in the Southern California area about downsizing and why it’s challenging for many people as well as resources available when your loved ones don’t want your things.

As someone who comes from a family of chronically disorganized people with hoarding disorder tendencies, she uniquely understands both the challenges of letting go and how having too much stuff can make it difficult to live safely.

Jami’s favorite motto when it comes to organizing is “perfect is the enemy of done” and addresses the reason so many people accumulated during the pandemic.
Talks can be tailored to the audience and include:

“Downsizing – How to lose your stuff without losing your sanity”
“Downsizing – Do you own your stuff or does your stuff own YOU?”
“My kids don’t want my stuff, now what do I do?”
“Hoarding Disorder: The humor and the humanity”
“Gently Guiding Loved Ones Through the Downsizing Process.”
Downsizing: How to lose your stuff without losing your mind
